Lexy's appointment went great on Monday. Her Dr said she looked great and is doing great (counts were awesome too)!! We go back in 8 weeks. YIPEE!!!
Lexy starts fall break tomorrow. She has Friday and Monday off. I think both days we are going to get out with friends and find something outside to do. It is so nice and I'm loving it!! Monday I know we are definatly going out to a pumpkin patch with Lexy's friend Karley. I ought to have some really cute pictures after that playdate!! Jason and I are going to the Covered Bridge Festival this weekend too, and it is always my favorite fall activity to do!!
I'll share lots of pictures next week!!

Hello! I guess my thoughts on fall weather provoked some cooler weather, because it hasn't even reached 70 this week. It looks like this weekend and next week will be perfect!!
Lexy has had a great week at school. She brought in snack this week for the class, and we decided on Halloween fruit snacks and sliced apples with carmel dip. YUMMY!! She's been enjoying eating at school, but whether she really eats or not, I'm not sure. I'll be asking her teacher at her conference. If there is at least one thing on the school lunch that she'll eat, I usually have her just go ahead and eat school lunch. Of course Pizza day seems to be the biggest hit for her and luckily for her that comes weekly. Her bus driver tells me that Lexy sits with a little girl from her class named Katlyn and that they've really become close buddies. She says there like two little old ladies when Katlyn gets on the bus, because they talk non stop all the way to school. She says it's hilarious!
Nathan has had a good week too. He went a couple days without napping in the afternoon, but it really didn't help him sleep any better at night, so I think we are going to go back to naps. We were both able to lay down today for about an hour before Lexy got home, which is always nice. He went a played at his Mi Mi's house yesterday with Amelia and had a lot of fun. They both love hide and seek, so I think they played that most of the time!! Nathan talks the whole time his "hiding", so he really isn't very good at the game yet, but as much as he does it, he'll be a pro soon. He is in love with candy corn, which I like too b/c it isn't messy. The other day I asked him where his ball went and he replied "I don't know Mommy, it's got to be somewhere!" I thought that was pretty darn cute response!! He's vocabulary makes for some quite interesting conversations between him and Lexy. I so love listening to them when they think I can't hear, too adorable!!
Lexy has her oncology appointment Monday. Should be short and simple and hopefully we can hit Target on the way home. She also has fall break next Friday and Monday. Not sure of any plans yet, maybe the local pumpkin patch with a friend.
I'm going to go and mop now, so thanks for checking in and hope you enjoy your weekend!! Liz

Friday's the Day

Seems like the easiest day for me to blog is on Friday's, so I think that's "the day". Anyways, everything is going great around here. Lexy continues to enjoy school and I enjoy that I have only one kid for a couple hours everyday. It gives Nathan more attention (like he needs it) and he also takes a nap when she's gone which gives me a break. I'm glad we made the decision to send her to preschool instead of kindergarden b/c she is really worn out with just a half day at school. Our kindergarden here is a full day, so I think this was ideal for her and hopefully will help with the transistion to all day next year.
Lexy has PT and OT this morning. She is really enjoying both of these therapies. She has pretty much mastered climbing up stairs unassisted and is getting really close to going down them as well. In OT, they have been working with her putting her socks and shoes on, buttoning buttons, and drawing shapes. She considers both of these fun and doesn't even realize that she's working!! I think I'll take Nathan to the park today while she's there. It is getting harder and harder to take him into therpies b/c he gets bored and ansy b/c we are there an hour. I'm not sure what I'll do when Camryn gets here, I guess I'll have to start enlisting grandparents to help!! I think her therapies are important, so I don't want to stop them just yet.
Not much planned for the weekend. The Colts have a bye week and the Cowboys play the Redskins, so that is probably the most exciting thing going on (pretty boring life, but i love it!). As soon as some fall weather hits, I'd like to take the kids to the zoo for the day. Hopefully we can take them a couple more times before our annual pass runs out. Speaking of fall weather, I'm ready for some! Don't get me wrong, I don't like cold weather, but I do like to have windows open and some nice 70 degree weather! Seems like anymore we go straight from summer to winter, and I don't like it!!!! Well better go and get breakfast started. Thanks for checking in on us, and enjoy the weekend! Liz

Field Trip Day

Hello! Lexy has a field trip today at a local peach orchard. She really is excited and since my Mother lives close by to the orchard, she is going to meet her there. I'm not sure what the plan is, but I know they won't be there too long because it takes about 20 minutes to get there, and they are having lunch before they leave. Lexy will enjoy the extra long bus ride, especially since all of her classmates and teachers will be on the bus too!!
I went to the Dr this week for the baby. I start going every 2 weeks now, and that has really been an eye opener for me. I can't believe it has gone so fast!!! I still feel pretty good, but I start preparing for that 3rd trimester. It's always the longest and hardest!! We picked our date for the c-section and Cameron will be born on December 8, unless she decides to come earlier.
Nathan is doing great as usual. He is really into dinosaurs this week and he saw this gicantic one at Toys R us and that is all he talks about now. It was huge but also had a huge price at $130!! Costs of toys sure aren't going down. He is also very exicted about Halloween. He is going to be Buzz Lightyear and Lexy is going to be a pumpkin. She has said all along she wanted to be a pumpkin, so we bought it and now she says she wants to be a ghost. I told her next year (easy answer). She wouldn't be happy with a sheet over her head anyway.
Well I better get off here and go and check on the kids. They've been downstairs without sound for about 15 minutes, and you never know what that means!! Have a good one!!
