Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving. Lexy and Nathan both ate a little, neither one of them are very big eaters. Lexy was happy with her cherry tomatoes and ranch dip with celery and Nathan was happy with his strawberries and mashed potatoes. Whatever makes them happy!!! We came home and put up the tree and watched the Cowboys win. YEAH!!! Both of the kids are loving the tree and very excited for Christmas. Here's some pictures to enjoy. Liz

2 weeks and counting....

Yep, I only have 2 more weeks to be a Mom of two. I'm getting really excited to meet her and just have her here with us! We finished up this week doing a little remodeling. Nathan got a new laminate hardwood flooring in his room (he was way too rough on carpet), and we got all new interior doors. It looks really good but I'm just glad the mess is over and things are back in place!! I'm a little OCD when it comes to a clean and tidy house, and especially while I'm pregnant.
Lexy's school had Family Day on Friday and it was so much fun to share the day with her. She was the flag holder that day and just stood in the middle of the carpet holding the flag saying the pledge of allegiance. I didn't even know she knew it, too darn cute!! I met a lot of the kids she talks about and I can see why she likes it so much.
Nathan is getting excited to have a little sister. He shows me everyday how he is going to hold baby Camryn and he tells me he is going to get her "a bottle and a binky when she cries." He is going to have some major adjustments when she gets here, but hopefully it won't take too long to get him back to normal.
We are going to put the tree up this week. I'm excited for the kids, because I know they will love it. Most of our ornaments are characters they like or places we've been. Lots of fun to look at, that's for sure!!
Hope everybody has a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thought I'd share a few pictures from this weekend. Liz

Pictures with Santa

Yes, I already got the kids pictures taken with Santa but in my defense it was at JCPenny's and it was a great deal!! Much better picture quality than getting your picture taken at the mall and their were lots of pictures to chose from. Not to mention plenty of one on one time with Santa. As you can tell, Lexy loved him and Nathan wasn't so sure about him. They both told him what they wanted for Christmas, Nathan wants Handy Manny tools and Lexy wants a baby sister. I keep telling Lexy that Mommy can take care of that present, but she still insists that Santa is bringing her little sister. LOL!!!
Lexy's appointment was great at Riley yesterday. Her counts were wonderful and we don't have to go back for 8 weeks. YEAH!!
Enjoy your week, Liz

Plans for Mommy

Thought I'd share with you all what I'm doing tomorrow b/c I'm excited. Three of my friends and I are driving to Indy to watch the Olympic gymnastic team perform. I went back when I was probably 12 and watched the team perform and it really is something to see. They do their routines from the Olympics, and both the men and women are there. Sometimes they've had past Olympic team members there too. Last time I went Nadia Cominch (sp) was there too!! Anyways, I'm excited to get out for my last "hooray" before the baby. We plan on doing a little shopping at Circle Centre and going to Bucca de Beppo's for dinner. Should be a pretty late night but it'll be worth it!!
We got the crib up this week and I've been busy cleaning like a mad woman!! I always get this way and I really should be resting but I just can't sit still for long. Good thing I've never been on bed rest, I'm not sure I could do it!! 4 weeks from today baby Camryn will be here. Hard to believe, but this pregnancy has just flown by! Guess b/c I have two kids that keep my thoughts on other things besides just being pregnant!!
Well gotta go and watch Tinkerbell (Lexy's favorite movie right now). We are all suffering from colds, so we took our night time meds and now I think we are all ready to chill out!!! Take care, Liz

Trick or Treat

The kids had a wonderful time trick or treating. Lexy could care less about the candy, but Nathan was in heaven. He loves chocolate and suckers!! Now we have to start gearing up for Thanksgiving, yummy!!!
Lexy is off school this week. There are parent/teacher conferences at the schools. I had Lexy's on Tuesday and it went great. Her teacher says she is doing great and is amazed at how much Lexy understands and knows. She said she normally writes down the alphabet letters that her kids do know, but with Lexy she had to write down the ones she didn't know. Smart little lady!! Also, she can count up to 19 now, so we've got to start working with the 20's. She recognizes all but 2 uppercase letters but needs more work on her lowercase letters. All in due time!! She got an excellent on sharing and participating in classroom activities which also made me and Jason very happy. One of her goals was to learn how to share better, so she has achieved her first school goal!! Her teacher also said she is starting to eat better at lunch and is using her spoon/fork on a consistent basis now. YEAH!! They have some fun activities planned in the next couple months, and one of them is family day. I get to spend the day at school with her, so I'm really looking forward to that day.
Nathan is doing great too. He is getting excited about baby Camryn's arrival. I put the bassinet up in his room (b/c that's where I end up every night) and he is always peeking inside it and talking about her. He shows us how he is going to hold her and says that when she cries, he is going to either change her (yeah right), giver her a bottle, or a binky. Well see how excited he will be when she is here, but for now he is looking forward to her.
Speaking of Camryn, only 4 weeks left till her arrival. I'm starting to clean like crazy, so I can tell she's coming soon. My Mom and I are going out today to get some last minute things she will need. I also want to get her some Christmas pj's, so it should be a fun shopping trip.
Well better go, Nathan's on his way home from Mi Mi's house and we are off to the Cracker Barrel for biscuits and gravy. Thanks for checking in on us! Liz
