Happy New Years!!

We have no plans for ringing in the New Year, probably just stay home and play with the kids. I haven't stayed up for midnight in a long time, but I bet Camryn will be up to watch the ball drop this year!! She actually is doing great in the sleep department, sleeping up to 4 hours at a time. Couldn't ask for much more!! The kids still are enjoying her, and really showing no signs of jealousy what so ever. Nathan has adjusted so well, and I knew Lexy would be fine. It really has been a pretty easy transition for all of us. The only thing I'm missing is the freedom to go places, but we just can't risk it with the baby. Maybe in a few weeks we will adventure out to the mall or something (hopefully)!!
Lexy and Nathan are still enjoying all of their new toys. Lexy got a pretend microwave oven that seems to be a major hit with both of them and the got the game Elefun and they would play that came forever. They love it, so if you have little ones I highly recommend it!!
Well off to do more laundry (which never seems to end)! Enjoy your evening and be safe! Liz

Merry Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas! Nathan keeps asking why Christmas is over!! His favorites are his tools and his "shoot gun". Lexy loves her new Elmo and her Baby Alive. Here's some pictures of Christmas Eve and Christmas day.

Everyone at the Fields' house has a cold except me. I don't know how I possibly have avoided it, but I have. Even little Camryn has the sniffles, and I'm trying not to panic about that one. She has her first dr visit on Monday, so I'll be sure and have them check her out really good. I just held her all night last night, so that she would be upright and breath a little better.
Other than colds, we are all adjusting well to having a new member of the family. The kids are still pretty excited about her, and ask to hold her constantly. Kisses and hugs are endless from both of them (hence the cold). Daddy went back to work this work and I'm sure is looking forward to the weekend. I'm doing fine, I have always recovered pretty quickly after my c-sections. Other than lack of sleep, I can't complain.
Well Camryn just woke up, gotta go!! Liz

Easy week

This week my goal is to take it easy. Now having two kids at home all day is a job, but I'm talking about the other things that I have been doing around the house. It has been nice, and I'm looking forward to a couple more before the baby comes. I'm scheduled for a 7 am c-section on Monday. I have to be there a 5 ~ YIKES!! O'well, I won't sleep all night anyway, so I guess it is best to be there bright and early. When I had Nathan I had to be there at these same times, and he was born at 7:30. So all in all about 2 1/2 hours and she'll be born. I have never had many complaints about having a c-section, I always do pretty good with recovery. I plan on staying until Thursday, so that I'll be more ready to greet and take care of my other kiddos. Jason will be home all week and our families will be helping with the kids for the week. I still can't believe the day is almost here, but I'm ready to have her here!! Please keep us in your prayers for a smooth delivery and healthy baby girl.
Can't resist the pictures---here's some to share with you that I took yesterday!!

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving. Lexy and Nathan both ate a little, neither one of them are very big eaters. Lexy was happy with her cherry tomatoes and ranch dip with celery and Nathan was happy with his strawberries and mashed potatoes. Whatever makes them happy!!! We came home and put up the tree and watched the Cowboys win. YEAH!!! Both of the kids are loving the tree and very excited for Christmas. Here's some pictures to enjoy. Liz

2 weeks and counting....

Yep, I only have 2 more weeks to be a Mom of two. I'm getting really excited to meet her and just have her here with us! We finished up this week doing a little remodeling. Nathan got a new laminate hardwood flooring in his room (he was way too rough on carpet), and we got all new interior doors. It looks really good but I'm just glad the mess is over and things are back in place!! I'm a little OCD when it comes to a clean and tidy house, and especially while I'm pregnant.
Lexy's school had Family Day on Friday and it was so much fun to share the day with her. She was the flag holder that day and just stood in the middle of the carpet holding the flag saying the pledge of allegiance. I didn't even know she knew it, too darn cute!! I met a lot of the kids she talks about and I can see why she likes it so much.
Nathan is getting excited to have a little sister. He shows me everyday how he is going to hold baby Camryn and he tells me he is going to get her "a bottle and a binky when she cries." He is going to have some major adjustments when she gets here, but hopefully it won't take too long to get him back to normal.
We are going to put the tree up this week. I'm excited for the kids, because I know they will love it. Most of our ornaments are characters they like or places we've been. Lots of fun to look at, that's for sure!!
Hope everybody has a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thought I'd share a few pictures from this weekend. Liz

Pictures with Santa

Yes, I already got the kids pictures taken with Santa but in my defense it was at JCPenny's and it was a great deal!! Much better picture quality than getting your picture taken at the mall and their were lots of pictures to chose from. Not to mention plenty of one on one time with Santa. As you can tell, Lexy loved him and Nathan wasn't so sure about him. They both told him what they wanted for Christmas, Nathan wants Handy Manny tools and Lexy wants a baby sister. I keep telling Lexy that Mommy can take care of that present, but she still insists that Santa is bringing her little sister. LOL!!!
Lexy's appointment was great at Riley yesterday. Her counts were wonderful and we don't have to go back for 8 weeks. YEAH!!
Enjoy your week, Liz

Plans for Mommy

Thought I'd share with you all what I'm doing tomorrow b/c I'm excited. Three of my friends and I are driving to Indy to watch the Olympic gymnastic team perform. I went back when I was probably 12 and watched the team perform and it really is something to see. They do their routines from the Olympics, and both the men and women are there. Sometimes they've had past Olympic team members there too. Last time I went Nadia Cominch (sp) was there too!! Anyways, I'm excited to get out for my last "hooray" before the baby. We plan on doing a little shopping at Circle Centre and going to Bucca de Beppo's for dinner. Should be a pretty late night but it'll be worth it!!
We got the crib up this week and I've been busy cleaning like a mad woman!! I always get this way and I really should be resting but I just can't sit still for long. Good thing I've never been on bed rest, I'm not sure I could do it!! 4 weeks from today baby Camryn will be here. Hard to believe, but this pregnancy has just flown by! Guess b/c I have two kids that keep my thoughts on other things besides just being pregnant!!
Well gotta go and watch Tinkerbell (Lexy's favorite movie right now). We are all suffering from colds, so we took our night time meds and now I think we are all ready to chill out!!! Take care, Liz

Trick or Treat

The kids had a wonderful time trick or treating. Lexy could care less about the candy, but Nathan was in heaven. He loves chocolate and suckers!! Now we have to start gearing up for Thanksgiving, yummy!!!
Lexy is off school this week. There are parent/teacher conferences at the schools. I had Lexy's on Tuesday and it went great. Her teacher says she is doing great and is amazed at how much Lexy understands and knows. She said she normally writes down the alphabet letters that her kids do know, but with Lexy she had to write down the ones she didn't know. Smart little lady!! Also, she can count up to 19 now, so we've got to start working with the 20's. She recognizes all but 2 uppercase letters but needs more work on her lowercase letters. All in due time!! She got an excellent on sharing and participating in classroom activities which also made me and Jason very happy. One of her goals was to learn how to share better, so she has achieved her first school goal!! Her teacher also said she is starting to eat better at lunch and is using her spoon/fork on a consistent basis now. YEAH!! They have some fun activities planned in the next couple months, and one of them is family day. I get to spend the day at school with her, so I'm really looking forward to that day.
Nathan is doing great too. He is getting excited about baby Camryn's arrival. I put the bassinet up in his room (b/c that's where I end up every night) and he is always peeking inside it and talking about her. He shows us how he is going to hold her and says that when she cries, he is going to either change her (yeah right), giver her a bottle, or a binky. Well see how excited he will be when she is here, but for now he is looking forward to her.
Speaking of Camryn, only 4 weeks left till her arrival. I'm starting to clean like crazy, so I can tell she's coming soon. My Mom and I are going out today to get some last minute things she will need. I also want to get her some Christmas pj's, so it should be a fun shopping trip.
Well better go, Nathan's on his way home from Mi Mi's house and we are off to the Cracker Barrel for biscuits and gravy. Thanks for checking in on us! Liz

Brrr.cold!!

Sure is cold outside!! I am enjoying the change in clothes, it's always nice to have a new wardrobe for the kids!!
I think we are going trick or treating on Thursday. Nathan is very excited, he is practicing all the time! Lexy is more excited this year than any other year too. I'm not sure if it's the age, Nathan, or all of the Halloween cartoons we've been watching (probably a combination of all). We don't go to too many houses, just family but it still takes up most of the evening. I'm sure I'll have lots of cute pictures to share!!
Lexy only has school on Monday next week because of parent/teacher conferences. I'm looking forward to meeting with her teacher and see how she is doing. I kind of feel in the dark when it comes to what/how she's doing but I guess that's how it is once they get older and in school. It'll be an interesting week having both kids, hopefully they'll be a couple warm days that we can get outside and play.
Nathan went bowling this past weekend with his Daddy and had a great time. It doesn't really surprise me b/c he loves hanging with his Daddy and he loves playing with balls. Jason said he was just adorable. He'd roll the ball down the lane and then get on his belly and watch it roll all the way down and then scoot back on his belly to the carpet and give everyone a high five. Quite the character!!
Well gotta go, Lexy wants my attention. The pictures are from Nathan at JcPenny's last week. Thought I'd share a few cute ones (they were all cute!!).

Camryn's First Pictures

Just wanted to quickly let everyone know that the 4D sonogram looked great. Camryn weighs 3lbs 12oz. She didn't really want us to take pictures of her, she basically covered her face the whole time with her tiny little hand but we did manage to get a couple cute pictures. Thought I'd share them with you.

Hello! Everyone is doing great around here. LExy just left for school, but not before she polished off a small fry from McD's. Her favorite!! She was eating them up to the point of the bus pulling up!!! Her physical therapist told me she kept showing her belly to her this morning and saying she was hungry. Imagine that, Lexy hungry!!
Nathan is staying at Mi Mi's house tonight, so I'm so looking forward to a good night off sleep. I guess he's preparing me for the baby, b/c the child just isn't a very good sleeper!! He'll be excited to go to Mi Mi's, because it's usually his sis that goes.
Well better go and get some laundry done. I have a 4D sonogram today, so maybe I'll get to share some cool pictures with you soon!! Let's hope she's still a girl!!

Pumpkin Patch

Hello! Lexy had a wonderful time at Pumpkin Works today with Karley. I thought I'd share some pictures of the girls. We went out for lunch at the Cracker Barrel and headed out to the pumpkin patch.
Today is the last day of fall break and Lexy was asking this afternoon about school. I think she is ready to get back to her classroom! I know Nathan is constantly asking where Lexy's bus is at. I don't know whether he misses seeing the bus or wants his Sissy gone for the afternoon (probably a little bit of both!).
I have my Dr appointment tomorrow and a 4D sonogram on Friday. I'll be sure and share pictures!!! Liz
