Potty Training

One week down of potty training and Nathan is trained. He was a piece of cake to train, and atleast I know I can do it now!! I'm still working with Lexy. She is doing really good, but the break in the day when she goes to school is really hurting us. I have to put her in a pull up for the bus and for school, so I think maybe spring break we will finish the job on her. She hasn't had any accidents at home, but I'm not sure how well she'd do without the constant reminders. Like I said though, I'm proud of her, and I think she is well on her way.
Gotta go, time for bed around here!!! Liz

Potty Training

The dreaded month is here....the month to start training the kids to use the potty. Lexy has been going #2 in the potty for over a year but can't quite get the peeing in the potty down. Nathan went yesterday for the first time and promptly told me "fishing pole now, Mommy?". He went again today and said "tackle box now, Mommy?". Before he runs my savings out, I bought a bag of kit kats (his favorite), and now that is his special treat for pottying. The both have done pretty well so far, so as long as I can keep up, we will keep going. Everytime one uses the potty, the other is screaming b/c they want on the potty too...fun times!! Diapers are costing us close to $150 a month now, because we added Camryn in the diaper business too. Way too much to spend on something that is filled with you know what and thrown out in the garbage!!
Other than that, not much going on. Lexy had her IEP this week and it went pretty good. I'm going to go and visit and make sure I like this set up first, but I think it will work best for Lexy. She'll spend 60% of her day in the regualar class, and the other time she will get more one on one in special ed. Camryn is growing like a little weed, and has the best little personality ever. She loves watching Lexy and Nathan and all the crazy things they do. They are her entertainment, no saucers or bouncy seats needed here!! She has had the sniffles the last couple days, but I'm just giving her breathing treatments again and hopefully it'll pass soon without much hoopla. Nathan is our little talker, and could carry a converstaion with you all darn day long. He loves to sing now, and his favorite is the Winnie the Pooh song right now. Right up my alley!! He is obessed with bowling and fishing on the Wii. Hence the fishing pole prize!! We are going to have a bowling party for him for his bday, so I'm really excited to see how well he does.
Well better go, off to shut off the potty timer and get going once again. Have a good weekend!!

Colds

As I mentioned last time, we are all fighting colds. And we still are. I took Camryn and Nathan to the DR on Wednesday. Nathan and a double ear infection (yikes) and Camryn has RSV and an ear infection. The put her in the hospital for 48 hours to keep an eye on her but she is doing better now (as in good enough to leave). I feel so sorry for her, b/c she is just miserable. Her nose is so full of snot and she can't breath very good because of this. I'm taking her tomorrow for a follow up visit, so please pray that she's on the mend. I'm going to have them check on LExy's ears too, just to make sure they are cleared up. Prayers are welcome for our family this week!!

Colds!!

Everyone (except me) has had a horrible cold the past couple weeks. I ended up taking Lexy to the DR, and she had a double ear infection. YIKES!! She actually is on the mend, but Nathan seems to have gotten worse!! If he isn't better by Friday, I'll take him to the DR too. Camryn is holding her own, she has a few sniffles but nothing she can't handle :-)!!!
Lexy had a good day at school today. A dentist must have came, b/c she had a new toothbrush, toothpaste, and dental floss in her backpack (seriously now, dental floss?!). I put her hair in piggy tails, and she hated every minute of it, but she looked too darn cute!! We are currently getting ready for her IEP for Kindergarten next year. I have a lot of issues to discuss, mainly on safety and classroom size.
Nathan is doing good too. He loves the Wii and I really have to keep an eye on how much time he plays. It doesn't take him long to figure out a game, it is amazing! He can teach me a few things too! He hasn't quite mastered bowling, but I'm sure he will soon.
Camryn is cute as ever. Last night she slept for 8 hours, so she is definitely on the right path!!!!Lexy and Nathan still don't sleep 8 hours!!!!!!!
Well, I'm off to clean up pizza. C-ya

Sorry for the lack of updates, sometimes I just can't find the time in the day to sit down and type. I'm usually holding Camryn while I sit at the computer and it is especially hard to type doing that!!
Lets see....Nathan got a "big boy haircut" this week. He looks so darn cute and really a lot different. I decided it was getting too long and it was so darn staticy that it really did need to be cut. He likes it a lot, and now we can put gel in it and he really likes doing that :-)!! He is defiantly lovin the WII and I really have to regulate how much time he spends on it. I never thought a 2 year old could do it as well as he does, but he's proved me wrong. He's favorite game is fishing but he can play about all of them (he tries a least). I'm ready for spring b/c he needs to run off some of his energy outside!!
Lexy is doing great. Everybody has a cold (except me), and poor Lexy has it the worse. Hopefully it'll get better soon and we can go back to sleeping at night!!! She still loves her Doritos and comes home everyday and has 2 plates. That is the first thing she says when she gets off the bus "dortios please mommy", no hi or how are you, just "doritos please". Gotta love her food choices!!
Camryn is growing up way to fast. She is smiling now, which is completely adorable. I have to take her for her first shots this week - boo!!!
We've decided to go to Gatlinburg this year on our family vacation. We rented a huge cabin up in the mountains right in front of a lake. If anybody has suggestions on things to do while we are there, I'm game!! Jason and I have been there 3 times but never with kids.
Well off to fix lunch.

Snow days!!!

Just wanted to share some pictures i took yesterday and today. The kids loved the snow!!

Not much going on around here lately. We had a family wii tournament on Friday night. The kids had a blast and so did the adults!! Nathan can't get the bowling down on the wii yet, and it is driving him crazy (and us too). So, today I went a bought him a plastic bowling set at Toys R Us. He is in love!! I'm not kidding when I say that he has literally been playing with it for 3 hours. We got our moneys worth out of this toy plus some!! He's trying to set the bowling pins up right now as we speak. Lexy is watching Tom and Jerry, one of her favorites. She bowled a couple times but got bored pretty quickly.
We should have an easy week, maybe set up some playdates if the weather doesn't get too bad. It is snowing today, and it looks really pretty (pretty b/c I'm not out in it)! Gotta go, just wanted to check in and I'll try to post some new pictures in the next couple days.

Riley

Lexy went to Riley yesterday for her oncology checkup. Everything went great, her ANC was low but he said she's probably fighting off some kind of viral thingy. All the other counts looked great, so we don't have to go back for 3 whole months!!! YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The kids did great, I was worried taking all three of them b/c sometimes (all the time) we have to wait forever to get a room. Luckily the kids still did great and we only waited an hour to get a room. Mom and I commented yesterday that even though she doesn't get chemo anymore, we are still there the same amount of time. It's sad because that just means there is so many kids out there fighting some type of cancer. There's one little boy I see every time I go there, and I don't go there that often so you know he is really got it bad. I pray for him and all of those poor little children that they find their cure. There's teenagers up there, babies, toddlers, kids with hair, kids with wigs, kids that are bald, it really is a wake up call!!! Lexy has been off chemo for a year now, and is doing wonderful and I just thank God everyday that she has been so healthy and been able to beat her leukemia.
On a lighter note, we went to Kate and Lily's 2nd birthday party on Sunday. The kids really enjoyed themselves and had a great time. My brother's kids are basically the same ages as my kids so it's really nice to get them together to play. Camryn slept through the party, but we told her all about it when she woke up :-)!!!!
All the kids got new shoes yesterday. Lexy had grown almost 2 sizes and Nathan one size, so they were in need!! They are both excited to wear them today!! Lexy has worn the same size since last winter!!
Lexy has been doing great at school. She still basically just tells me about lunch and the bus (must be her two favorite subjects!). Nathan is doing great, he had the touch of the flu the past couple days but seems to be better today. Camryn is growing each day and sleeping more every night. Last night she slept from 10-3:30 and then went right back to sleep and woke up at 6. Can't ask for much more than that. She has a cranky period every night from about 8-10 where she cries and screams but other than that she is a very happy baby.
I'll leave you with some pictures. Liz

"Hey Lexy do you want to watch a movie in my room?" said Nathan.
"Sure bud, what movie?" replied Lexy.
"Buzz Year" said Nathan.
And off they ran to watch Toy Story 2 and eat doritos!!

I love it when they get along!!! Liz
